Hi Everyone
if anyone can give me info on the following, I just picked up a 1997 Range Rover with a few issues, the L/H door is indicating open and the interior light remains on, could this be door sensor. also the heat control all works except the fan does not blow hot or cold. perhaps fan motor ???? any suggestions would be appreciated, thank you in advance...................Charlie

Door is most likely the door latch mechanism...best get it changed ASAP the very last thing you want on a P38 is a low battery as this will cause alsorts of havoc with the various ECU's

Press and hold the Interior light switch until a message appears on the dash saying the interior lights are off....

With the HEVAC system - does the fan run at all, or is it just your not getting any air out or if you do it is not the right temperature....

Do you have the Test Book symbol on the HEVAC control unit at all?? If you do, it means there is a fault and you'll need to get the fault codes read to see what is going on...

If you have no fan speed at all, this is usualy due to a fault in the HEVAC control unit...

If you have fan but no air - it could be the Distribution Blend Motor is faulty - this little guy opens and closes flaps to direct air flow to the various orfices....

If you have no temp control - this is most liekly the temperature blend motors...these guys (there are 2 of them one for each side of the car) control the temperature setting of the incoming air and are known to fail, trouble is the blend motors are a pain in the backside to change out....

Also is is V8 or Diesel??

re lights, when i exit and lock vehicle. lights do go out, so no problem with low battery, it is just when i get in and drive vehicle. interior lights stay on. and on panel it indicates L/H door open (pass)
re the heater. no the fan does not work whatsoever... sincere thanks
