Hi All, new to the forum.

Any help appreciated. - just change the MAF due to a fault code showing the MAF had died, replaced with a cheap - very cheap ebay item (£30 new)

now I'm getting a P0046-00 - Turbo/supercharger boost control solenoid - circuit range/
performance

the car run okay with the bad maf, a bit of black smoke on hard acceleration, but otherwise was good.
after replacing the MAF I'm getting the above code, and car is in limp mode.

Any ideas, obviously the new maf is effecting something, i don't think its a bad solenoid as it boosts fine with the bad maf.
could it be a split pipe?

thanks in advance.

Tell it you fitted a new sensor with some harsh words
Or remove the sensor and bypass it through the plug with a paperclip ( metal type required)

thank guys,

as far as I can tell, there are no major leaks in the inlet system (i can put the intake hose over my mouth and "blow":eek: and it holds pressure to some degree, been reading on another forum, that a MAF can cause this error code.

I cleared all the error code via JLR SDD

so my guess is being a "cheap" MAF.

On the 2.7 d3 and I assume the rr 2.7 is the same set up? the pipe from maf runs behind top of rad then drops downwards, 8 inches form the top there is a rubber seal, top pipe is only held on with two screws and jub clip maf end, then it lifts off so you can check said seal.
