Hi all,

we have a Freelander td4 with 225/55/17 fitted from factory. This Freelander has no mods.

Apparently having talked to a few supplier 225/55 is not produced anymore.

we wanted to fit a BFG's A/T - 225/65/17 is the closest they have.

is there a tyres size that does not scrub or hit the arches?

Thank you in advance

There's plenty of room in the arches. It's the struts that get in the way of oversized tyres.
I'd not fit BFGs to a FL1 anyway, especially if it's used at motorway speeds. There are better tyres out there for normal use. Yokohama ATs 225/65/17 give good results on all surfaces and aren't to noisy at motorway speeds.

so a 225/65/17 does fit without hitting the struts then?
