I condemned an ABS modulator on a Td4 a few weeks back,183,000m on the clock, did an IRD on an L series diesel earlier in the year with 165,000m on it.I just wonder how much money it cost in repairs to get the piles of junk that far.

Well for starters not all FL have ABS, so no worries there. Plus if a vehicle has reached 150k + miles you have to expect transmission wear and tear.

Most other makes of cars are the same. The fact that FL are british made makes parts relatively cheap. Try and get a recon or new gearbox/transmission for VW or other German cars for a small price.

Mad Hat Man seems to be one of the unlucky ones who has spent a vast sum of money on the FL before sending it on up the road

Not yet Tiny, got a length of clear pipe in the fuel line alongside the filter now. Very rarely seeing bubbles going thru, so I guess it may be drawing some air in at the injectors. But I would have thought that this'd make her run ****e all the time:confused:  . Got both front windows, sunroof and drivers door solenoid to sort when I get a chance, just not enough hours in a day at the mo...still, at least all four wheels are still attached....:p

Oh dear. Hey - Can't remember if this was mentioned ages ago but have you replaced the leak off pipes on the injectors? Reason I ask is that Tiny's are a bit worn and have started drawing air in. Just off to the shop to get a length of replacement pipe.
