Recently, whilst searching for a full set of water hoses for a p38 thor 4.6 2001...

I came across a post from a guy who had sourced a set including the narrow hard plastic hoses with soft ends.

Now I need a full set, I cant find the post.

Could any of you fine guys point me in the right direction?
I'm in the UK and have checked all the usual suspects

Many thanks in advance

Hi Wood.
As mentioned, checked the usual suspects.
In looking for a set including the thin, solid plastic pipes (incase you haven't seen a p38 petrol, one of these runs back to the header tank).

You might not be aware, but Google has been around for a long time, and certainly falls into the group of usual suspects 😉.

There was a post from a helpful guy who bought two sets, then when discovering the missing solid hoses, contacted the supplier and received the additional hoses.

Best wishes for your future 👌

A bit of sarcasm never hurt anyone - lighten up.

Both my P38's have it replaced with flexible 8mm coolant hose. Works perfectly & less failure points.

But if you search for the correct part you might find this:

Agreed @pwood999 , sod the plastic hose and make a one piece pipe. The earlier diesel has a return from the radiator that goes down behind the battery box then back up to the header making it a mare to bleed. Out with that and on with a straight rubber hose like the later diesel setup. Bleed problems sorted👍
It would nicer in an all original setup but if it's a suitable mod that reduces a failure rate then why not🤷

I replaced the plastic pipe that runs from radiator to header tank with this hose https://turbozentrum.co.uk/Silicone-Vacuum-Hose-reinforced-8mm-black-BOOST-products The plastic pipe shattered when I disconnected it to blow through to ensure it was clear. I jury rigged a length of 1/2" hosepipe secured with jubilee clips for a 200 mile journey home. The hose was about 1" after the journey but held up OK. A similar plastic pipe runs to the throttle body & is also worth replacing with 8mm silicone.
