03 freelander only starts when cold or when it feels like it?? help

It's got me stumped..turns over perfectly but once iv drivin for a min and turned off it won't start till I leave it alone for a few hours..it runs great ,no hesitation sounds good... its got 110000 miles ,I get gas to fuel rail for sure ..Already changed crank sensor. Could it be cam sensor?? Please help.. o yeah the service engine light is on and the srs light stays on.. don't know if they are related.

Could be the cam sensor....try using some freeze spray on it.
For srs light check the connectors beneath the drivers seat and or have a look at the 3 amigos thread.
Next go to the introduce yourself section and say hi.......you'll find the rest of the members a lot more willing to help when you introduce yourself.

Yep I have exactly the same issue but only after long runs. Needs cranking a couple of times before firing up. Think its the camshaft sensor.

this is typical of camshaft sensor on the top of the engine offside just one bolt holding it in

its the camshaft sensor... starts every time if i take it out and soak in ice water???yep it works great.. thanks for the help
