£3500 to spend!!

hi all new to this site an hopefully owning a land rover discovery..ive got £3500 to spend on a 2.5 td manual discovery can any one help an do you think i can get a decent one for that money? it wont be driven too hard mostly camping dog walking stuff like that. oh yeah an occasional motorway are they good on motorways? any comments please..

occasional motorway use at 70 mph, its fine.
if you wanna do 300 miles a day on the M6, there are better cars to buy.

but for an all round vehicle that can go just about anywhere, there are few cars to touch the disco tdi.
(maybe the RR & defender).
for the money i dont think theres anything to touch it.

if u wanna do alot of motorway miles, get an early p38 rangey for £3500?

I would be happy to drive my 300tdi on the motorway everyday. I recently did 70miles on the motorway in my defender everyday and it was fine... so the disco would be MUCH better.

how about an 'r' reg 3 door with 116000 genuine miles? just needs a new passenger window mechanism ?

I covered 1380 miles in 32 hours last week in an "L" reg 200tdi ..... no probs.
