As usual, between visiting relatives etc., we will be based in Walsall, West Midlands.

If any of you want me to bring "The kit" over, please PM me prior to the 16th December

You really need to book your holidays at better times:D:D

I have the full set of diagnostic modules (Multi Vehicle) for the P38..Petrol and Diesel (All models) which cover the BECM, EAS, Engine,SRS, ABS, Cruise control, HEVAC, Gearbox etc. etc.

The BECM modules allow me to unlock them and disable the Immobiliser etc.

Used to have Rovacomlite but the vehicle server went tits up a couple of months ago so I replaced it with the latest Faultmate Extreme.
see Blackbox Solutions Ltd - Designers and manufacturers of the best vehicle diagnostic tools. for more info.

Hi Irish, can you confirm that the Faultmate Extreme will actually allow you to unlock the BECM and disable the immobiliser.
I am considering either the Extreme or Nano with a single vehicle licence but I'm not clear from reading the info on the Black box site just what level I will be able to go to.
Thanks in advance.:D

The Faultmate will allow unlocking of the BECM with module SM035, however this module is expensive, as can be seen from the Blackbox price lists.
In my opinion, it would not be economically viable to have the module locked to a single vehicle application.
On the other hand..it's your money and choice.

OK thanks for that, they do not licence module SM035 on the single vehicle kits which is why I did not see it. It is only available on the multi vehicle. Just have to hope I do not need to unlock the BECM!
Thanks for the prompt response.

Why not get someone to unlock it when you get chance (Test Book cannot do it) with the SM 035 and leave it unlocked..it will do no harm.
Then you can use the standard BECM module SM 022 to edit and change all of the settings.
Most important is that you do not put it on Test Book as it will automatically lock it after any changes have been made, or lock it with the Faultmate by mistake.

No chance of it going on Testbook, no dealers near me here in France. I do all my own work on the car. If the BECM gives trouble it may end up in the post to you:D
As soon as I can afford it I do intend to buy either the Extreme or Nano to give me access to as much of the electronics as possible:D
