What is the condition of the pinion teeth? are they screwed aswell Jai

They are in extreemly suprisingly good condition, considering the rear axel locked up a couple of times becasue the shaft was floating about.

tis a long long time since that's seen any oil or grease

As you can imagen the seal is gone, and it goes swimming regualy so the axel was full of muddy water with barly a trace of oil, everything in the diff is covered with rust.

Whenever we go deep wading standon and violets lane etc we really should drain all axle oils, strip bearings and replace grease, grease propshafts and clean out any drum brakes but we never bother but we should do this every time. I know when I come back from Salisbury I drained my diff oils to mind some water in there not much but enough for me to drain everything and re oil. Jai
