Hi peeps I'm wondering if anyone has had similar problem, I ought a lovely 1996 2.5 dse with a dodgy key fob the lock button worked but not unlock do I just used eka code, 2 days after I bought it key fob stopped (switch broke off board for lock) I tried eka but no joy justpeeped everytime it was turned to lock and engine key code lockout on dash and could not get alarm off, so I removed becm, ecu and sent them away with key to be sorted and when they were sent back problems.
The keyfob is working and key works in door but that's it, all connections to becm in correct no loose or pushed out pins, power and earth cables correct, no blown fuses, nor under bonnet but all that happens is if I switch to position 2 I get fan blower but no display on climate screen, radio works, I get all lights on eassuspension setting and inhibitor switch, front wipers work, headlights but no rear wiper, no alarm, fuel cap release doesn't work nothing on dash except srs, abs pump buzzes under bonnet and if I try to start car it goes dead, everything and if I release key back to as above.
I've recharged battery but it was reading 13.1v and been suggested there is a problem still with becm so I've sent it away again with key and ecu but I also noticed it wasn't my becm that was sent back but was my ecu but was told they were coded together and both working on test car so I'm wondering if anyone has had similar
Also I've checked main power to engine fuse box and it's OK and no funny smells or obvious signs of corrosion

Big mistake, it is unlikely there was a problem with the BECM in the first place.
You need diagnostics to turn off the EKA code and immobiliser.
I don't know where you sent the BECM, but they may have fecked it. Callrova are the only place I know that can actually fix BECM's, but they rarely fail.
Is the carpet and/or underlay wet in the drivers footwell by any chance?
Are you sure the battery terminals are clean and tight?

There are a few folk on here with Nanocom's, you could try and see if one of them is near you and can remove all the EKA security for the time being. I would, and have done as much for people local to me.
However, you are up in bonnie Scotland I see. Take a look on the LZIR map for someone local to you.
@martyuk does hire his fully licensed one out, with an appropriate refundable deposit required I believe.

Becm, acu and key was sent back with a promise of it being sorted and delivered back tomorrow so I will give them benefit of doubt but havnt heard from them today and I know they got it at 10:37 am and because car is in car park in town 13 miles away council is talking about towing/impounding it

Only got 1 key but another is on way, I don't have as or rac and when I sent parts ba k fella says they were in trip mode and my becm was in unknown stat do he has got my key and ecu connected to another becm and has showed videos of work and showing it all working, battery is fully charged but its not a 1000ca but was working well when I got car before all this happened bud

I forgot to say when fob broke I tried eka that worked before then I got key code lockout, the alarm etc was all working as normal but I couldn't turn off alarm or get past lockout so I was told it needed recoded so I removed and sent everything away and parts I got back did what I described in 1st post, so I fully charged battery and its same so I removed ecu's again sent them back and fella says 1stvtime it said unknown state 2nd time he said it was reading trip state so it's another becm coded now with videos showing it was all working

Listen and work with Mozz He will help you and sort you out, P38's are a breed unto their selves and need the proper (what's the word) users?
