Going to do the timing tomorrow. I've got a posh digital torque and angle gauge. Will that be ok to set the belt tension or do i need to buy one of those special ones?

Does the torque wrench give a live reading or is it one where you set the value and it beeps when you reach it?

Time for an update - turns out the block was cracked, which is probably responsible for my coolant usage. All breather pipes were full of mayonnaise as was the ladder frame so new block time. Got one from a well know engine rebuild company. Who were prompt and knowledgeable but also tried to convince me to send me all the ancillary parts and pay the charge for not having a usable replacement engine - thought that was a bit of a scam.
