Pictures of my 90, been sitting 14 years and designa chassis with axles, calipers, brake pipes, bushes and all joints not fitted but purchased 12 years ago for a lot of money.

Neighbour washing 14 years of dust away and leaving a decent early 90 with a 200tdi conversion.

Old chassis has just melted away to dust and rust, crossed fingers on the engine running after sitting so long, big pile of rat pooh in the middle seat. 90 has only done about 60k miles, it was an estate owned car.

Plan- body off, work on engine in old chassis, get it started.
Clutch, gearbox checked etc.
Order any parts, repair and clean removed parts.
Check new chassis, clean discs, make sure new 4 calipers are moving.
Weld footwells, just a patch as they look pretty good apart from front edge.
Start fitting everything to new chassis.
There will be hidden problems and age related problems but that is part of the fun.
Not having to grind, cut and weld a rust wrecked chassis is a big positive.

Sounds like a very good plan. Apart from the 4 calipers. I think it will have drums on the back.

New axles already fitted to chassis with discs front and rear.
It comes in the chassis package although the axles are not overhauled, just cleaned checked and painted.
Steering, bushes, springs, dampers etc are also all new and fitted by designa in the package. Flexis, brake pipes are all there as well.
It is all 12 years old but kept in an open barn, 90 was kept in a closed working barn for 14 years. It absolutely stinks inside the 90, home for generations of rats.
Maybe chewed wiring etc, will find out today as we are on it today.

You Lucky Lucky Man,

As the yoof of today apparently say, " Well Jell"...

Will be interesting to see what you find and how you go....

Cheers

Hahahah the deal is as long as i keep it its mine. Going for a drive in it today. It all works but engine clearly needs a rebuild.

I thought you might say that! :(:p

Engines are tough, but many have camshaft issues. If it runs, it may knock on for a while, there are no emissions tests.
