HD Wheel Brace recommendations please.

Gents,
Just trashed my lovely folding OEM wheel brace via a scaffold pole on an awkward wheel nut. Who does the best HD brace for my 16 HD Wolf rims, 300tdi 97??

I find the standard Land Rover wheelbrace a bit weedy. Especially if the car has been anywhere near a garage and someone has done the wheel nuts up with an air wrench. I have a 900mm 3/4" bar and 27mm socket that lies neatly across the bulkhead behind the seats.

I agree with what others have said, you are much better just buying a breaker bar and socket.

Right. Found a "very heavy duty" brace and I've got a nice bit of scaffold pole as a breaker. Saved 6 quid.

You're probably going to need a breaker bar anyway at some stage - a very useful tool on a Land Rover.

Yeah I know I'll probably get that one shown in the link.actually I won't it costs a fecking fortune!

Just get a standard 1/2 drive one, long as possible. In emergencies I've used mine as a tyre lever, and many other things. A deep socket makes wheel nut removal easier.

£10 for a reasonable length tough one off tool stands at a market etc.

We have one in each vehicle inc tractors, havent broken one yet.

I just keep a standard 1/2" torque wrench with a socket on behind the seats then that way I know that I can do them back up correctly.
