The good news is you don't need a new car if you have Euro III, you can retro-fit a DPF which does not need to inject diesel into the exhaust to regenerate.
20% of a DPF is more pocket friendly than 20% of a new car. I wonder what line the Treasury would take to this.
This begs the question why do the car manufacturers inject fuel for OE equipment when a DPF can be made to work without the fuel injection or special EOLYS type additives?
