Kumho KL71 on snow

My front tyres are getting low, and one has developed a screw in it today, so i'm going to take the opportunity to replace all 4 tyres and flog my 2 rear Scorpion STR's which have about 7mm left on them which i got in december.

Like the look of the KL71's but has anyone used them on snow? The lack of siping worries me, wondering whether i'd be better off spending the money on BFG AT's, Cooper's or something along those lines. I like the looks of the KL71's though.

Any thoughts chaps?

Coopers at3 or stt they have a better warranty than BFG and same money. Craddocks does some good prices

The AT3's are mega cheap on craddocks!

they also have Kevlar side walls on them

Go to Coopers web site and see the rating on each for wet and dry,ice and snow.

That is all I use and get 80k out of them, but I do rotated about every 10k Is a free service with the tyre shop where I bought them

Just been reading up on the AT3's, think i'm sold, £474 for 5!

I'll change my brand new Synchrone spare too, i'm sure somebody on ebay will pay good money for that!

Think if you did every 6k should not be a issue would it if you were with in what is it 3-4 mm difference from front to back. You are the eggspert

tbh I wouldn't risk blowing my drivetrain again (you get kinda nervous after the first time )

Remember you or hippo did something about the allowed od difference on the tyres. Most wait to long though to rotate

yep that was Hippo, i can't remember the result tbh

i run the fronts down and then have new fitted to them and rotate to the rear, works for me

this combo would look the dogs and allow you to lead tratters over bumpy bits and tow them out when they cross axle

Spacers are arriving tomorrow and lift will be sorted this week or next.

£50 difference fitted between the BFG's and the Cooper AT3's, are they really worth the difference?

is that for all four? and yes they are I have never gotten more than 40-45k out of bfg, and get 70-80- out of coopers
