Really cheap IRD's with 30 warranty!

Hey guys,

I've bought a new tailgate window from these guys and noticed they had these in:

LAND ROVER FREELANDER 1 TRANSFER BOX IRD UNIT 1.8i, 2.0Di, 30 day WARRANTY | eBay

Worth a punt with the warranty perhaps .

who wud buy a 2nd hand VCU, unless yu aint got one at all?

it costs about £200+ to recondition an ird properly!

That's just it, if you knew what you were looking for you might find a good one, and lots of people don't even have props . Still no match for a proper recon one but you might get lucky.

As above, they aren't recons just salvage . Again, you might get luck if you know what you're looking for . The IRD is much easier than the gearbox to dismount. Wouldn't reccomend tis for newbies though ! I don't even think I know what a fecked IRD feels/sounds like - so if I bought one of these I guess no noises or bangs would be good news ! Thankfully my IRD seems to be fine, somehow it escaped the previous string of owners unscathed.

They are a treasure trove though, and very straight up about what they're selling. Decent guys.

you never know what you're buying just by the feel of it off the car tbh.

you may get lucky

a used prop could be the same, but if you don't have one at all it is a good starting point, I suppose
