For looks maybe its all personal preference me and Wiltshire agree to disagree I like tall skinny tyres he likes the yank wide look.
Personally I do not agree the benefit of wider tyres justifys the bad points of a wider tyre such as turning circle and sticking out past your arches both needed to be addressed for comps I take part in. for others they are great so ill keep my skinny tall ones and Heaney many others will enjoy the ones he likes.
Agree with Jai .. I have (quite small really) 31 x 10.5 AT's on .. I would like 33/35's but I would still ideally want 10.5 max .. seems to be a good compromise on 'looking wide' without being too wide to compromise steering and narrow enough to cut through ****e to harder ground.
I also like higher sidewalls, hence why I still have 15" rims, I think they give a bit more give when it's most needed.
Ideal metric size (If anyone does it) for me would probably be 265 x 85 R15 ... for a 33" equivalent tyre ..
