P.S. A word of Warning. Never Never!! use a grinder with the garde plate removed. The wheel broke up and went through gloves and cut my middle finger left hand to the bone. Pic to follow. Ouch :doh:

Aye Ah used some Blue roll and insultin' tape on mine.. ye can hardly see the scar now
There's a lot tae be said fur they thin discs

One of my mates works for DHL and he is up and down the country like a W ores Well you get the jist so getting a part from the south is not a problem.

Just up out my bed and it is ****ing down rain. Hope it clears up later on as i want to get the bulkhead off. The engine and box seem to be the only good parts on my fender according to the speedo it has done 176k although the engine No does not match the log book No. So it has had a change at some time in the past.

Here are some more pics from today. Got the bulkhead off and am going to speak to the local farmer to see if he will come up with his telehandler and lift out the engine and gearbox.

Better get it done soon before the weeds take over

The handbreak shoes were covered in thick oil. Is it an easy job to change the seal on the back of the transfer box.

yes just remove flange 30mm socket lever out old seal and replace grease rear of seal to hold garter swpring in while tapping home seal,you will feel when its in far enough ,after fitting flange put some silicone sealant around shaft and flange before fitting washer and nut

you just need a pretty large socket or similar to tap the new one in.
