BROMLEY KENT
Hi Guys.
I spent many years doing Moto X but have decided to hang up my boots due to old brittle bones.
But I want to keep the off road theme going but with my disco. But I know very little about the mechanical side of things when it comes to getting a car to go off road, much more simpler with a KTM 250CC.LOL
So can anyone recommend some off road wizards who can sort something out here? Paid off coarse
I have a N reg Disco TD

What he said ^^^^^ I have a bog standard disco and the only mods are a steering guard and 235/75/16 Insa Turbo sahara Mud Teerrain tyres. Goes everywhere I want it to go

firstly :welcome2: :D

well its really how far you want to go with something i guess just some simple bolts on kit ie diff guards steering guards all under body protection, will see you safe and give you hours of fun, but firstly i set of good tyres,
but then you see people out with more kit on theres you think ah that would be good,

basically get out there and see whats needed next best way :D i find the list never stops growing and growing but i guess thats why we love landys :D

Thanks guys I was just thinking of tyres and lights. Is the snorkel worth having?
Also just general protection around lights etc.
I have to watch the pennies at the moment a bit so it won't be all the way quickly.
I guess the tyres are first. Are there like Intermediate tyres as it's the only car at present so I guess just green laneing would be safer.

Also will it be better to adjust the ride height with mod tyres on?

One more thing...That’s to get rid of that Cat so if anyone can recommend a good welder or knows how to do it in the SE then PM.

Two things I have regretted all my life is not learning to play the Electric guitar and Welding:rolleyes:

save your cash dont fall for the blinged up lights, just get tyres, if your on any budget dont lift it at all, if its your only transport i wouldnt go deep wading so you might not need a snorkel, just some guards underneath, you can get cheap de cat pipes on internet

i learnt to play the guitar and weld years ago :D

get a decent tow rope(not from halfords!) and something to attach it to and take it out.If yer get stuck in mud(id be surpised-even on road tires) then get better tires, if yer find rocks to bump on(not round orpington way ya wont) then get guards. The std motor will surpise ya, but another vehicle to tow ya out/take photos/have lunch with is my main recamendation
