Finally started sound proofing the 90, started with the rear door, the panel was covered in ali foil faced bitchemin roofing lead replacement stuff. I will fill the voids with either sound deadening from the local car place or stuff from B & Q. I finnished the back door cover. Matalan to the rescue.

Need some more bits to finnish the backing and will have to make a varnished fold down table for the gas cooker to sit on when we are out camping at our next LZ trip.

dont you think you should have checked it over before fitting it yer numpty.;)

Today I was mostly making up some box section sills/rocksliders. Measured sills at 60mm, had 50mm x 100 box, so added a strip of 10 x 25 box ... ;) Going to fit 'em after next weekend, if they fit OK!

Pics tomorrow .. ;)

Well by accident I ended up annoying a lot of people with my Disco today.

Driving around at the speed limit (I don't like paying speeding fines) and people kept racing past me.

Funny bit though was that they kept having to stop at the next set of lights and I'd catch them up. Then when the light went green they couldn't keep up until I lifted off at the speed limit.

One guy did this about 5 times - he'd be alongside, then suddenly fall back as he changed gear - badly and at the wrong time!!!!

Just reinforces my opinion that most people that raz about above the speed limit are crap drivers trying to prove to themselves how good they are at driving.
I mean - how bad do you have to be to be burned off the lights by a 2 tonne diesel automatic with 5 people in it!!!!!

i think karma had summit to do with it lol

I've had all the ply cut for the back of the 90 today, and also had a Hornet Cat 1 System installed courtesy of Gap Security, top job it is too!

Well not today, but over the last week or so me and a couple of mates have done a couple of bits to the Disco.

Changed the front and rear axles, new front discs, pads, caliper pistons and 40mm extended braided lines. Changed the arms and fitted new OE bushes. Fitted HD shocks and springs and 2" lifting blocks.
Replaced my knackered gearbox with another 300tdi item and fitted it along with a new HD clutch and fork kit. Replaced gearbox, transfer box and both axle oils.
Re-wired my diff lock and reverse light switch so they both now work. Re-lubed the springs on the handbrake and freed it all up.
Also fitted TD5 smoked lights, TD5 grill and modified my 300tdi under light trim pieces so they would fit over my steel box bumper.

Just got a couple of bent steering arms to sort out, tracking needs doing and my new 265-65-16's should be ready to collect next week. :D

Quite tired tbh lol.
Chris

spent four hours trying to remove the steering lock after a key broke in the ignition.

Thanks to Ratty for help and Graham for a new lock. Not yet fitted, but at least I have removed the old one. All I need now is a new shroud and the stalks centre section that fits to the steering column to cancel the indicators. If anyone has one, please PM me.

Forgot to mention - part of that time was having to make up a steering wheel puller, cos the bastid thing wouldnt shift :(.
