I think the one's you need are 3/8 UNF X 3 1/2", there are 10 of them all together from what i can see on Microcat.

Check your earth lead form starter to chassis, mine has just started playing up again although it is fitted with 2 850cca batteries, i had a problem last year with starting and thought I had cured it by replacing the battery negative lead as the join on the inner wing was loose which at the time...

I doubt it would give the required height to take out a disco engine, don't forget the further out the extension is the lower the lifting capacity is too.

@jamesmartin, yes it had both dowels fitted and has been ok in the 3 years i've had it with no coolant loss etc. @drewster, It was indeed no4 and sounded like a pig lol

Just thought i would share a pic of the head gasket I remove on Saturday afternoon, it only took me 6 hours to do which I thought was quite good as it's the first I have done. Sounds a lot better now too:D Funny thing was it still ran ok...

I'd say lift pump would be the culprit, they are cheap to replace so got to be worth a try first.

Easiest way is drive up to a fence/wall and mark where they shine when on dip beam, reverse back about 10 feet and put them on full beam and adjust so the top of the beam pattern is on the mark you made. Have checked all my cars like that and never had a problem.

I used some of the plastic rivets from the sill cover on mine after welding, all i did was re-drill some 8mm holes through another part of the plastic liner and into the newly fabricated inner wing. Been on for about 6 months now and not had any problems.

Mine does the same sometimes, certainly wakes you up coming up to a junction:eek: You could just remove the abs fuse in the fusebox under the bonnet which would give you normal brakes but without abs at all until you manage to get a more permanent fix sorted out.

Not sure if the 200tdi has a earth point on the inner wing just behind the battery but i had the same problems on mine so took the earth lead off the battery and re-soldered the joint just behind and it cured them.
