No dash lights!

Hi guys, I've just bought a 1998 Discovery 300TDI and I have a slight problem.
None of the lights that should come on with the headlights e.g. speedo, fuel, temp, heater controls, etc. are coming on. Any Ideas? Fuses already checked. Maybe bad relay or earth?

Have you checked the bulb in the actual speedo binnacle? you need to take it out and check round the back

Checked the bulbs, even tried changing the binnacle. It's not just the binnacle that doesn't work, the lights for the heater controls don't come on either.

Have you checked your back lights? One of mine went the other day and took the dash ones out too.

As above - check your back lights, mine does this intermiddently and takes rear tail lights with them or vice versa... not sure which, i just pinch the other halfs car and next time i use the landy its ok again lol

Test! Have you checked at a bulb holder for a 12v supply or earth? Dash illumination supply is on the o/s side light circuit, fuse #8

I have something similar on the Disco I just bought. Only some dash illumiation and no heater back light or ones around the electric window swithes ( I assume these are lit.) I am hoping just bulbs but can't play till the weekend, so will see then.

No dash lights!
