300tdi diesel in oil

Im sure im getting diesel into my oil on my 1996 300tdi. I know its a common problem on the td5 but im wondering if anyone has had it happen to them on their 300tdi.

Also if I let the vehicle sit for more that 24 hours it takes a few cranks to start as their is air getting into the system which i believe is related.

I cant find any topics on this about the 300tdi. I know it will either be the lift pump or injector seals but wondering if its common.

I'd say lift pump would be the culprit, they are cheap to replace so got to be worth a try first.

I've never experienced or heard of diesel in problems on TDi engines and I'm trying to imagine how it could happen?????

Air into the fuel system is more common and for the cost of it I would be replacing the lift pump - get a good quality one!!!!

I've come across this on other engines! No reason why a 300tdi won't do it too?

When my britpart lift pump diaphram failed it leaked my biodiesel into cam area,also allowed air ingress-fit a delphi,and change your oil if the dilution is considerable
