I know you say it has gas, but I had a similar problem where my defender was running great, an then jus stopped working on gas. After an expensive day in the garage, it transpired that both gauges where faulty, and it had run out of gas which is a common fault.

Sam, I think you should keep looking mate, and im sure you will find a better 90 than any of those advertised for half the price. If your willing to do your research on e-bay you can find some bargains, but take some one with you who knows about Landys, and check it over before bidding.

If the chassis aint too bad, you may get around £700-900. Good luck shifting it her.

Infact I have no need for a Disco what so ever, just like the idea of owning one for the driving position, and there practicality, so can wait for a decent one, as it would be nice for the basics such as air con and crusie control.

Think I am going to take the plunge and buy a 2001 Disco TD5 S tomorro, with 120k on the clock for £3500. Its only a basic spec, but its pretty straight, the rear chassis is fairly rusty mind so needs a good waxoyl. Does this sound like a fairly cheap price.

I found Firebond insurance very good, think they may have changed their name but advertise in the back of LRO, all the same. I didnt find NFU very helpful, and they would not insure my landy without an LPG certificate, and questioned a few of my mods.
