I'm almost positive it's the ECU. I had the same code. I got an ECU from the junkyard and the problem went away.

What was the exact code being thrown. If it says something like " Distance between sensors..." The most likely culprit is the ECU.

It's different for each state. For 96+ most of them just check the computer to make sure there is no codes being thrown. For 96- they do a sniff test on the exhaust. Some states check tires and brakes some states leave it up to the owner to check. Where I am they test the computer and make sure...

It's about half an inch higher then the standard height when I had my EAS in. As far as overriding the automatic height at speed settings..... I'm sure anything is possible if you have enough access and know how with the EAS ECU.

I think it was different sway bars but I am not sure.

I redid mine last summer. If you get an extra set of hands it should only take you about 2-3 hours from start to finish.

I would replace the door lock actuator. Mine was kinda of doing the same thing with the front door. Went to a junk yard and got one for $20. Since I put it in it hasn't done it again.
