central locking

hi i need some help on my p38 it seems the central locking on the offside rear door will lock it self and wont unlock no matter what i do but if i leave it long enough it will unlock next time i use the car,,,,,,is this a common thing??

Is it consistently every-other time you use the blipper? Does it happen no matter where you are parked or just in one place?

As the back doors are triggered together if you've only got issues with one I'd replace the mechanism whilst you can still open the door. It won't be too expensive if you go the breaker route as it's normally the fronts that give problems so they're more expensive.

Sounds like a loose wire/connection.

:search:it is the door latch ... some plastic is broken in the latch ,, of the electric motor on the latch is not in good working condition ;;;

I would replace the door lock actuator. Mine was kinda of doing the same thing with the front door. Went to a junk yard and got one for $20. Since I put it in it hasn't done it again.

its just the right hand rear door that plays up as its just done it again got home locked it with the key fob all doors locked then as i walk away central went again so i unlock it check all doors and again the only door not unlock is the drivers rear..

ill take the door card of and have a look see.
