Just been watching a youtube video of clarkson compareing the p38 and overfinch suspention
It got me thinking if the major componants are the same what is it that makes the overfinch handle so much better? And is it possable to upgrade the standerd to overfinch quality?

I thought they rode lower too - ie standard height reset to highway height as a starting point. When I'm in a hurry down a twisty country road I often lock it at highway height - you really can attack the corners with much more gusto before things start to feel squirrelly - but you pay for it with the choppy ride quality.

I can't say I've ever noticed that, the springing is actually softer with the lower inflation pressure at motorway height, a real magic carpet ride.:)

In theory - you're right - in practice my car is much harsher at highway height at lower speeds. :confused:
 
Overfinch added a rear ARB.
No doubt changed dampers too as that'll help stability when chucking it around.
 
It stops body roll.

Solid axles naturally want to move on a pivot, by shoehorning in a ARB, you're trying to force it to run level. You lose a lot of articulation by doing it, so is poop for offroad applications, but onroad helps stop passengers throwing up.
