It is very preferable to have full service history, my 127, 000 mile Disco puts a 20, 000 one to shame because of the full service history. It really does make a difference.

Yes, I will be doing all of that over the next few months, it is one of the only modifications that doesn't cost anything!

If I was you, I'd hold out for a newer one. Does it have full service history? That is crucial if you want to lead a trouble free life with your Disco.

I thought, if I just bought/made a half roof rack, I could still use the rails to put maybe a half roof box. So you end up with half the roof with a rack and half with a lockable box. Well that's my plan for my expedition next year. :)
