just been on a test drive

absolute mint condition
22" overfinch alloys new 6 months ago with tyres
126000 miles
chipped and remaped
ive offerd £4000 but i know he wants £5000
moted last week and 6 months tax as of this morning
seller has new waterpump to go on and theres a slight knock from front nr side he says its a bush
water pump and bush fitted before purchase
does this sound reasonable and how close to £5000 should i bid him if every thing else is ok when i get it looked at by my local indipendant lr specialist
also full stainles system
and its a td5 manuel

I bought an 03 disco 2 last month. XS spec, leather and suede, mint bodywork, no noises, mint 18" alloys 110k miles, full roof rack and ladder, 7 seat... £5000

Stretching for an upgrade model makes sense, they had lots of little changes that enhanced reliability, it wasn't just the beer goggles on the front.

However bling it looks, a 126,000 mile 12/13 year old car is a 126,000 mile 12/13 year old car and is only worth so much. If you really like this car, maybe offer another hundred or two, but you should get newer and better for £5000.

The seller must be on crack cocaine !!!

It's worth between £2200 to £2800, dependant on condition.
 
I dont think my 2002 facelift with leather and 100k on it is worth £5000.00.

Dont get hooked on it, theres loads more to choose from.

22" wheels don't make it worth a fortune! I had 20s on mine and it really wasn't that good, back to the originals now it drives much better, sure I miss the looks but not the tram lining! I can only imagine 22s are worse. Also I got mine for 5k two years ago, there was another identical for 12.5k admittedly a lot less miles on it but not 7.5ks worth! My guess is it's for the bling
 
cheers for all good info your probebly right it does look good its also got the new lights and grill that really set it off the other one i was looking at was a 54 plate disco 3 manuel with 97000 miles full service history but ive heard scare stories about the clutch and flywheel something about them being rubber mounted insde and them giving out all too soon the cars up for 9K but ive allready got that dowm to 8 1/2 and 6 months tax hows that sound
