Hello, Not new to the site but new to this section. i had a disco 300 tdi 4ish years ago, Dropped off from visiting site, Now own (for a year now) a Freelander 2 td4, Thought i would pop in for a tea and biscuits and say Hi.

I am having a similar problem with mine at the moment. Did you find another fault or damage ?? Or was it the bleed corrected the issue ??

LOL 2" lift, no side step and a gut like mine, not a cat in hells chance :jaw:

cheers guys logically it seems easy ish and straight forward but usually there is something hidden to bite you in the ass gonna have to do it as it is nearly dropping an inch now:eek:

The next job on my list is the drivers door hinges, searches come up with diagrams or defender hinges ? A fellow disco owner commented that in order to do this 'you must remove the window frame section first' ?? So is this an easy job and doable on your own ?? have been putting this...

Assumed it was the original Alternator but it may well of came orf a petrol !! the date on the alternator was 1995 on a 98 disco, ?? Did not have time to swap pulley but have kept a hold of it just in case.:eek:

Replaced the alternator tonight. old one is original with 184k on it, wow, new one has come with pulley on but the new pulley is smaller ?? any plus or minus's to look out for ?? shaft will spin faster but will the windings have been altered to suit ?? kicking out 14.3amps...

I just tell people it's got a built in shower, sounds more impressive than a leaky sun roof. :cool:

was a 15A which blew, put another 15A in to prove which circuit dodgy that blew, did not have another 15A so put a 10A in, all fine then fire, just not logical capt. have sussed it today to a wire going to earth, wire in tailgate for the high brake light. have acquired new switch, will fit...

On the interior light ?? When I shut the doors the light will stay on for a while and then fade out. Assume with these in when you shut the door they will stay on for a while then just go off cos there LED ?? either way they are sweet..........some on order.

waiting for undercoat paint to dry on both hinges (Rimmer - £85.20 ) it appears D1 & D2 = same but not compatible with others. top coat and then on ??

Probably a stupid question ?? But is there ever any comeback / comments / legislation about putting fumes straight out and onto pavement / pedestrians ?? :behindsofa:

Yep, thank you - £10 cheaper than ones i had seen. seen some td5 ones for £20 - different part number - not sure if they would fit or not, assume not. :high5:

Rear door hinges now worn and need replacing. posted same question on a similar thread already running but it seems to have disappeared . having priced around on web there seems to be a price difference between hinges for model discoveries but they look exactly the same. so are all...

On the subject of disco 1 back door hinges. Are all discovery back door hinges the same or have they made them different for each series/model ?? interchangeable or not ??
