    Inner Door Panel Bolt Sizes?

Does anyone know what the bolt sizes are for the front and 2nd row inner door panels? I'm about to fit new panels to new galvo doors and want to fix them with stainless bolts.

    Correct gearbox oil choice

I believe you'll notice the difference with Difflock ev1 (or Smith & Allan) in your LT77 (but not suitable for very early 4 speed LT95 gearboxes).

    Correct gearbox oil choice

The Difflock Evolution oil also transformed my R380 gearbox, but when it was time to replace it I opted for the far cheaper Smith & Allan fully synthetic heavy duty gear oil 75w-80 API GL-4. Link...

6 week old baby in 110 / longer seat belts

I had the same issue; found that the Britax TrendLine range suited the short 110 belts.

Wing air intake cover (mini snorkel)

That's my point, I don't have need for a raised intake. All I'm after is a splash guard to cover the prone mesh intake. Why would I spend a couple of hundred pounds on a piece of kit I don't need? Seeing as the only option is the expensive Wolf option I'll fabricate something & save my money for...

Wing air intake cover (mini snorkel)

Thanks Paul, that's exactly what I'm after; shame that it's an expensive piece of kit. I'll keep my eyes pealed on ebay or diy a solution.

Wing air intake cover (mini snorkel)

Not the case here; can't think of a single neighboring farmer with one fitted! What do you farm, salmon?

Wing air intake cover (mini snorkel)

The depth of water wasn't the issue so a full snorkel not required (+ if i dared to fit one, all my farming mates will rip the p*ss). All i need is a cover to prevent another idiot from forcing water down the air-intake. If no one makes a cover time for some diy...

Wing air intake cover (mini snorkel)

During the recent floods, while tentatively entering 11/2' of water a careless Pajero coming the other way broadsided me with a wall of water (must have hit the water a 30mph!). The water went straight into the air intake of my 300tdi 110 and wrecked the air filter (fortunately no other damage)...

    Changing the Aux Drive Belt...

Thanks chaps - I'll give it ago with the fan & cowl in place - when this approach doesn't work I'll do it properly & take the cowl & fan off.

    Changing the Aux Drive Belt...

Servicing my 300tdi defender tomorrow; can anyone tell me if I can replace the aux drive belt with the viscous fan & its cowl in place?

    Prop shaft UJ,s

Just bought Bearmach UJs at £7 for my spare front prop; haven't fitted them yet but they appear well made + they come with grease nipples.

    Dehumidifiers in yer Landy..

Agreed, the 2 kw heater I use is of good quality & has fire prevention cut off.

    Dehumidifiers in yer Landy..

Winter time, in an attempt to thaw the kids out in the morning (house has no CH) I run an extension lead (done the previous evening) from the wood shed with a timer & a 2 kw heater that sits in the 110. Half an hour before we leave for work/child minders the heater defrosts & warms the interior...

    The ultimate maintenance guide..

I've just run two searches, one for "maintenance chart" the other for "search before posting". Interestingly the "maintenance chart" search returned no other posts with the wd/duck tape chart, the "search before posting" however returned many many posts...:D

    Dexron VI

I've been using Difflocks Evolution1: 4x4 Store Not cheap @ £18/L but in my opinion worth it. It's transformed my R380 - from cold, the usually notchy change from 2nd to 3rd just slips into place and reverse is now always found 1st try (no more dd clutching). Before using the Evo gear oil, the...

    Dexron VI

Landrover stopped recommending ATF in favour of MTF94 a long time ago. But having looked at the spec of synthetic Dexron VI, it might be OK. From a thread on R380 lube: Ideally R380 lubricant should have the original 5W20 low viscosity of ATF fluids to give minimum gear drag. However, it's...

    Supermarket diesel = bad?

I think it's all down to the cars fuel management system. My diesels don't seem to care what fuel is stuck in them, but two of my petrol engined cars have been very fuel fussy. Two (out of the 3) Subarus I've owned (2.0L & 2.5L) have been very fuel sensitive with noticeable drop off in both...
