We have a 6 week old baby who wants to travel in a 110 (year 2000). We have a baby seat for her for my wife's car, but it doesn't quite fit in the middle row left hand side of the 110 because the seat belt isn't long enough.

We can't put a simple 'seat belt extender' on it because of way the child seat is. Seat can't go in front passenger as seat is too long and then I can't see out the mirror.

Can anyone suggest either of the following:

A car seat that fits into a 110 that is suitable for a brand new baby - have searched on this forum and whilst lots of threads on these, not found yet for 0+ baby seats.

Can I easily put a new seat belt in the middle row on the left hand side which is longer than ones as put in by LR?

Or any other comments - but we're not going for ISO fix as too expensive for the lesser use it will get. And how to do it.

I took me cubby box out and strapped the seat in the middle, grand daughter is happy to watch gear changes and listen to the engine, she is nine months old though and the seat is the same size as the defender seats.:)

Replace the seat belt - military DAF trucks have a considerably longer one but you may have to change the stalk also.

We have used maxi cosi seats in the 110. They fit the std belt but are a tight fit. Can't remember the model of the baby one but it came as part of a pushchair / pram / car seat set under mother cares own brand for the pram bits and maxi cosi for the car seat.

I had the same issue; found that the Britax TrendLine range suited the short 110 belts.

Fit the seat in the front and then fit a towing mirror onto the near side wing mirror. My Maxicosi fitted in the front, I think I still have it so ill try and find the model. Or did I wait until he was a little older before carrying him on my 110, I can't remember.

Maxi cosi pebble for my nipper. No clips or base just put three point round em and away ya go. Fits most cars too. And only one that goes with me icandy.

We used a maxi cosy one also, but in the passenger seat in the d90, with the missus sitting in the centre seat. It was the only way we could do it.

Baby seat ideally needs to be facing backward at that age. It couldn't go in the centre because it needed a three point seatbelt, and even if I'd have bolted down the isofix base seat thing, with the child seat in place, I couldn't change gear.
