worst thing i ever did with landrovers was selling my 90 was a v8, salisburys, range rover tranplant - 33" etc fairey PTO winch (v8 powered winch - hell yeah) couldnt afford 8mpg but still shouldnt have sold it. got a nicely rotted disco so not all bad :(

have access to a computer again. which is nice. however while attempting to do a oil change recently i noticed hairline cracks in the gearbox (right next to the splined filler plug) basically need another gearbox. all the rest seems ok. (for now) any ideas where or who? (prefer someone on...

don't mind the towing - keep straps & ropes & 2way radios ("get off the fecking brakes") in motor all year round. it's the looks of disgust at dirt inside landy that put me off taxi duty. they can always walk....:D 3 recoveries and off to fetch my grandad now...

done them shims :) broke solid brake pipe that mounts to top of swivel bearing :doh: cue 4 ish hours looking for some kind of brake fitting . . . found a spare harley-d stainless pipe that just fit. and on way home in the wee hours my full beam packs in.:doh: dip still ok :)...

on another utterly unrelated note..... found spares from old vauxhall omega (the elite of course :cool:) - couple headlamps with broken brakets - BUT these happen to be HID type and best guess is they're H1 (or H7) with all the ballast pack gubbins etc. now here's the question.... ...
