    Personally, I would go for original parts, but it's your choice and your pocket; some cheap aftermarket lip seals will not hold up for very long and you cant beat original bearings. I have used Rimmer Bros original parts they are good. You should not lose diff oil when changing seals and bearings.

    Definitely not an original wading plug hole. You may try a threaded bung from a 200L oil drum, which may fit the thread in your housing. Alternatively you can if you can find an engine core plug that fits you can knock it into place to plug the hole.
