    dealer honesty

your inconvenience is the last thing on their minds. Each time you take it in to them they will probabley keep it for a week. So you will more than likely stop taking it back. Job done they say, got rid of him. I used to work for a bent garage who employed these tactics. Hope your experience...

    electric windows CRAZY

if everything was working before you started then the fault obviously lies with something you did wrong. Go back to base with the wires, take them all off and check all the plugs and pins in them for damage, and then start joining them back up with more observation. good luck, Beni

    rusted tailpipe

the only gasket is downpipe to manifold, no other gaskets but you could put a smear of exhaust paste on the joints just to help it seal. good luck, Beni

    rusted tailpipe

there is no reason why it should fail if its only the end of the tail pipe. I would put a chrome piece over it and get my monies worth out of it. you can allways swap it over when you do finally fit a new exhaust. good luck. Beni

    Water pumps?

you dont say which model you have but if its a 300tdi when you take the pump off, also take off the housing that it bolts onto as there is a gasket behind it which could leak after you change the pump. this is what happened to me so I had to strip it again.good luck, Beni.

    96 Disco Stalling...any suggestions?

it sounds like the lift pump at fault or a small fracture of the fuel pipe so its pulling fuel and air. but lift pump sound favourite. good luck. Beni.

oil catcher keep the drive clean

it dont need to be a bad leak to make a mess of a nice drive way, and if your landy is completely free of leaks youve got the only one.

oil catcher keep the drive clean

I keep reading about people dripping oil on the driveway be it from leaks or fluid changes. My solution was to buy a mortar mixing palet from Focus diy, they are 3ft x 3ft and 4inches deep it slides between the wheels no problem and catches everything, ok if your working under there you may have...
