    Fuel sender

Does anybody know if there is a difference between the v8 petrol fuel sender and the diesel 110 sender. My 110 is an 84 model and i can't see an exact listing for it, however the diesel version looks body wise identical ( all metal, coming in from the left side of the tank etc) I need to order...

    3.5 V8 Lifter bore question

I remember when i had mine apart that section looked fairly crap. Almost like someone has made the openings with a cold chisel. I don't think you have anything to worry about to be honest.

Series 3 Dashboard clock classic style (52mm)

There is a company called veethree that do them. They look almost identical to the vdo range. They may even be made In the same factory. Cheaper than vdo too.

    Defender roof......

I would really suggest not going down the heating path unless you have practiced or done it before. I tried removing a dent like this before from the tail of the vehicle and it ended up a disaster. Aluminium can be a pain to work with. I would suggest maybe have a panel beater comment on it.

    Speedo wobble!

tight curve/bend in the speedo cable can also potentially cause it.

in need of a good anti theft idea please.

I agree, Only two systems to immobilize in a vehicle like this and you can guarantee any would be thief can get around the starter and shut off. You could look at having another electronic fuel valve fitted hidden along your fuel line but that's about it

    LED stop/tail lights

Mudstuff.co.uk also do them. They are the Wipac versions and externally no different. They do look a little bling due to the reflectors for the LED's but i am running the clear indicators which accentuates this more. I also highly recommend them, It is the one mod that is worth it. Standard...

    My 110 rebuild

Now for something a little bit different. I intended to fill the rear compartment with a small fridge, 240v inverter and aux sockets. For obvious reasons it will need to be sealed and water tight. The fridge is large enough to fit two 6 packs in it. Almost as essential as a tow rope :) The...

    My 110 rebuild

Ok, I have some more photos of my progress. I have painted the rear cab section and installed new window channels. I will be giving this section to the glass guys we use through work to tint and install the corner windows. I just need to find/buy some lower mounting points so i can bolt this...

    My 110 rebuild

Over the past few days I revisited the rear tray. The sides have all been coated in Raptor liner or tough deck liner. This is a heavy textured epoxy that with stands impacts etc. Anyway for the floor I wanted something different and have install black rubber checker plate. I put down a layer of...

    My 110 rebuild

The rev gauge was bought locally off an auction website. Made by VDO and can be set between 4,6 and 8 cylinders. They are often fitted to light aircraft so you may find a local store that sells them. The roof has been removed while i was working on the rear chassis. I am uncertain that i will...

    My 110 rebuild

Ok got some photos tonight after fitting the front wheels. They just sit inside the guards with 30mm spaces, tyres are 235/ 85R16. Oh and also here is a link to a quick video of what the engine sounds like since adding a resonator to the exhaust system. Apologies for the poor quality, it has...

    Dave rebuild

nice rebuild. If i was to do a rebuild again I would have painted all the parts under bonnet, firewall, inside and body capping etc and then just spray the outside in one go. I have probably used twice as much paint as needed through doing it panel by panel. However the upside to panel by panel...

    110 v8

I bought a cd from Paddock Spares that covers the v8. Really handy as it covers a several versions of the 110 all the way back to the 110 with sliding front windows.

    Lecy help required,

You can buy an adjustable indicator relay which allows you to set the time interval of the flash. If you use the factory relay it will flash ultra fast. The indicator relay on my 110 sits behind the fuse box under the center dash if that helps

worst wiring I have came across

When ever i buy a second hand car more so a LAND ROVER :) i always pull apart to check for home job wiring. Land rovers seem to never run enough fuses on their systems, and poor wiring can create fires. I had some one twist the wires together for trailer wiring right where it enters the chassis...
