Can anybody tell me why my speedo needle is shakes/bounces around the speed I'm actually doing?

speedo drives have been known to split easy enough to swap if speedo housing prises out, a loose flange nut can cause similar

mine bounces about until 50mph, i thought they all did that? Don't you find it fun guessing the speed?

I have had it on older cars where the rear prop flange just needed tightening up

tight curve/bend in the speedo cable can also potentially cause it.

Yeah mine shakes it's nuts off at 55/60 no chance of 70 new wheel bearings all round I think haha

I doubt I'll ever be done for speeding in mine... Been told off for failure to stop for police tho haha...

you mean couldnt stop because of the brakes? not braking more of a gradual stop?
