I'd also replace the front plastic round crank case cover n all as it seems to be leaking. it only pops out and a few quid to replace. Deffo a job worth doing as thats what I've done to mine :) I also took the egr cooler off, wouldn't of done it this way but my water pipe from the header...

Hmmm I agree with CHRIMCNE. A discovery has headlamp washers and if on airbags at the rear would keep everything all in check. So it would pass it MOT :) only thing it would fail on in theory is not having projector headlamps as a discovery uses reflector style headlamps :(

I have ran mine on it for 2 years. Car runs fine BUT you must try and find a good bio diesel maker who uses 100% veg oil and can make the same bio quality every time.

If you put electric RR seats in a Disco you need to cut the cross member off the frame and fit two new ones which are wider and they also need to be spaced further apart. Also the RR seats are taller on the base so the new X members need to be a tad lower or as in my case you will be sitting too...

Will you not lose a few mpg with this mod?

My mate has a TD5 that he is breaking. Was just a thought that if it was an easy bolt on to fit then I would of swapped them over. Looks like I will be using new swivel balls £££££££££££

Hi, Will a TD5 front axle fit onto my 300tdi? I say this because I need new swivel balls and was thinking if it would be better fitting the whole front axle from a TD5? Whats your views?

Yeah it comes with the chrome ball and bearings ect. and my car does not have ABS So it will fit 100%?

Just get them taken out and pot rivit/ sikaflex some galv plates over the holes. Thats what I did to mine :) no more leaks hehe. If you reverse onto the drive then the water will make it through the drain plugs but will not be able to make it out the tubes as they run back towards the rear...
