    Clutch pedal sticking down?

Had the same problem on my MGF and it was the clutch actuating arm which had siezed in the gearbox. The heat of having been run for a while expands the gearbox casing enough for it to release.

It came off a MG TF 160 and yes it's a straight swap.

    1.8 Throttle body

The standard throttle body for 1.8 Freelanders is the 48mm, I fitted the 52mm a few months ago and the difference is amazing. My fuel consumption has gone from 22mpg around Sheffield's hills to 28mpg, it pulls a higher gear and feels more responsive.

    Electrical gremlin?

Sounds very much like a bad earth, probably on the rear light clusters.

why are these bolts so hard to get out:

I had to use a 2ft breaker bar and plenty on penetrating oil, just get them turning as much as possible then you can knock them through. They are not splined just well and truly rusted.

Filled the car up yesterday after 2 weeks driving around Sheffield no distance cruising, just short journeys of 6-8 miles and it worked out to 26.8mpg instead of 22mpg.

    Td4 & 1.8 Tuning

    Freelander problem- possibly drive shaft?

With all the wet weather were having I would think it's nothing more than the wet brake shoes bonding with rust to the brake drums, so driving it for a few miles should get rid of the squeak.

    Rattle

On my Freelander there is a small heat shield on the front pipe just under the gearbox, I don't think this can be seen with the under tray in place.

    Towing with freelander tips

Make sure you get some one else to carry the slabs, that should ease things for you.

    Servicing

Make sure you can get the IRD filler plug out before you do anything else, there have been posts on here where some have drained the IRD then couldn't refill it. Done mine today and the filler plug was more than tight at one point thought the bugger was welded in.

local garage has fooked my propshaft

The garage has a duty of care to you, which means that if they did not carry out the repair in a safe and satisfactory manner they have failed in that. If the garage said they could do the repair or replacement of the shaft bearings the least you could have expected is that they had someone who...

    Question for dog owners

We have 2 dogs, a Glen of Imaal terrier and a Patterdale, both travel in their own soft beds in the boot. We have the Landrover dog guard fitted and when warm I drop the back window a couple of inches for a decent through flow of air, we also carry drinking water bottles in the back door pocket.

    Door lock question

No it's not the same, if you look on flea bay look for rover 75 rear locks they are the same lock but for some reason appear cheaper.
