hi just to say i had the same problem as mentioned and thought as mentioned the cables and drums, but after much head scratching and swearing found problem to be the plastic sliding dust cover beneath the handbrake handle,for some reason it had distoted and the lever didn't drop off fully...

intresting this one,i like cremator have a td4 commercial looks nothing like singvogels set up,thought it might be a commercial thing, but as springer says dont think thats the case.like to know what all the pipework does on yours though singvogel? mine as others i suspect,only has the coolant...

yep think it should be there,its a drain for any water that might get in the air box,should be checked that its not blocked when changing the air filter. regards tim.

must say after reading cuza68 s comment,glad i didnt change me pas pump,noise been there for past,26k though,watching this with intrest,hoping for a cheap cure.tim.

hi mr k,hope i can help you here,got an 05 aswell,had the same symptoms as you,got peed off with them,convinced myself it was the vcu. milage was 135k.had vcu replaced with a new one. noise still there. it is the pas pump have now found out.tim

had both bits fitted couple of weeks back,best price i could get it down here was£420.did search fleebay best one on offer then was £370 delivered.hope it helps'good luck,tim.

just like to add i got some oe vcu bearings from ashcrofts and they were hardy spicer on the box ? tim

that must mean the torque settings in me work shop manual must be for those of us who are not confident tightening nuts and bolts then.tim :)
