Got mine fixed! The guys that changed my clutch figured it out. Badly out of adjustment.

AND, they were able to get my diff-loc selector working again !!! YAY

I changed my clutch a few moths ago, it has been making noise ever since. When I received the clutch and took it out of the box the springs were making lots of noise, it seemed like they were too loose? Is it normal for the springs to be noisy? Also, I think my mechanic did a not so good...

OK, in that diagram there is a part #34 (selector lever). My Mechanic says there is a "Clip" that runs between that and a rod that goes upwards to the shifter. He says that this clip looks bent and this may be whats stopping me from selecting Diff Loc. Any ideas as to what this clip thing...

I am trying to find a part for my transfer case (1998 300tdi). The part is to do with the shifter. Does anyone have an exploded picture of my transfer case?

Also difficult getting 1st and reverse. Ashcroft says it should get better after 1000 miles.

Awesome, thanks guys ! It does not seem to be engaging, I didn't think it was, the light is not coming on and the shifter does not feel solid.

When I put the vehicle in neutral and take my foot off the clutch I am getting a loud rattle. I have just replaced the entire clutch and installed an Ashcroft gear box. What have I done wrong?

Ashcroft said to run it for 1000 miles and then there should be a difference. I tale Pumkin on vacation next week Thursday, that will be an easy 800 miles, hopefully I will get the diff loc sorted by then.

So, first drive. 1st and reverse gear are difficult to engage at times. I am hoping that this is because its a new box?
