Im sure a std remote brake servo will do the job for approx 130 quid.

I wouldnt say i like it, its just a clutch!
I never expected it to be any different to be honest.

Hi, is there any one else out there that do something like the REDBOOSTER KIT but a lot cheaper. As your wright about the heavy clutch, you think with all the tecno today that they would do a clutch that you would not need to have a leg like a iron bar.
regards Andrew ps and not cost £550

yeh my mates 300tdi is miles lighter than mine, thing i dont understand is.. i have fitted a 200tdi along with a new clutch and fork and bearing and everything, AND a 300tdi pedal and reservoir and its still heavier than my mates!? i cant see the slave cylinder doing much seeing as they are the same!

Just a gues coul'd it be that on 300 tdi been on a 380 box the cluch arm pivots diferantly thus needing less pressure for S cyl rod to operate????.It bugs me cos i all so
just had a complete cluch kit done on my 200 with hardly any inproovement on the pedal.

Who sells these, is there a link?

I have a gouty left foot and any help pushin the clutch would be lovely.

Thanks

Doing the the spring modification makes a massive difference to the pedal clutch force required.

Well worth doing if you find the std clutch very stiff.

Cheers

Quite, a lot of people say the clutch is heavy, but i dont find it particularly heavy TBH, certainly not so heavy
I want to do anything to make it lighter. And I have the pre-tdi no-Spring assist version.

I do like the feel and conteol for the hydraulic clutch thoigh

I think LR did a mod on the spring. Cannot remember if it was for the 300tdi or the Td5. Or maybe neither, LOL.

The one fitted to mine had a spring but it was very heavy, when I modified it to the spring assist, ( which looks like a clothes peg spring ) which meant taking the old spring out and fitting a new one it became a lot easier.

Cheers

Thanks @Flossie :) ..... SO, IMHO, dont buy a red booster - too much blinking money....

I fitted a remote servo to SWMBO's D1 300/R380, and its all here... somewhere..... wait 1, and i'll find it :)
