L322 Fuel pipes on the fuel pump 4.4 petrol wont come off

Update These are a real fiddle but did get them off. You have to push down the top of the pipe whilst getting a flat blade underneath and push up. Ive never come across these before and didnt want to damage them as that would have been more than a few hours work. I did order the whole lot...

L322 Timing tensioner. How to install question v8 m62 BMW engine

Thanks for the replies. Well it’s in and I put it in unextended. It was easy to do. I used a 19mm ratchet spanner from the front of the engine as a socket was too tight. Could only make 2 clicks at a time but it only took 10 mins and I’ve seen and heard folks taking a couple of hours...

L322 Oh dear time for the timing chain advise needed please

I must say my early l322 has been one of the most reliable cars I’ve had and done 55k on lpg. Only changed the rocker cover gaskets and the water pump, plus a quick swap out of the abs module that failed. I’ve just done a 500 mile round trip . New oil I may add, and when I got home I’ve...

    L322 4.4 petrol 2004 can bus fault

Having been to my local landy man we discussed all the diagnostics. We’ve come to the conclusion of a duff wheel bearing that’s not noisy. So I’m going to replace the driveshaft and wheel bearing. I’ve used J & R trading in Birmingham for years and the shafts still going with no breaks in...

I was having trouble with doing new shoes disks and pads I did one side and went great. got to the other side and the new shoes would not come together for me to put the disk on. I took off the cover to the handbrake handle and no sign of any type of handbrake reset to loosen the cable...

    L322 Hand brake lever adjustment

have the early l322 2003 v8. I had a seized rear caliper so decided new discs pads and brake shoes as well as new caliper The seized side went super smooth, but I'm having problems the other side. the cable on the hand brake pulls out enough with pliers for me to attach the metal box that...

L322 Cheap vanos solenoids 4.4 petrol any good

had a few codes come up on the diagnostics related to cam sensor and vanos auctuator on bank2. I've ordered 2 new cam sensors and will change the solenoid if it still comes up. No engine light on so cannot be bad. I've just spotted on eBay a couple of solenoids new for £31.32. Just...
