have the early l322 2003 v8. I had a seized rear caliper so decided new discs pads and brake shoes as well as new caliper
The seized side went super smooth, but I'm having problems the other side. the cable on the hand brake pulls out enough with pliers for me to attach the metal box that touches the shoes, but the cable goes right back in so the shoes are as if the handbrake is on and I cannot fit the disc I've looked everywhere for info on the brake lever adjusters but cannot find it can anyone tell me how to slack off the cables at the handbrake end thanks

The hand brake lever its self is self adjusting, you need to make sure adjusters at wheel ends are fully backed off and yes cable connecting up one side is easy other side is a right pain (well I thought it was) it should be possible to then get the discs on and click adjusters up after think from memory its adjust right up till brake hard on then back 7 clicks.

There must be a way to reset the lever if its auto adjust. thanks for the info on the adjustment at the back I was aware of this but cannot get the disc on as the other end needs loosening off.

Friend of mine runs a J--P and it has auto adjust lever as well and on that you can lock it off while renewing brakes but not found anything on doing same on l322 , Rimmers have a youtube video on replacing rear shoes have a look for it JP ( I know the guy) makes it look easy.

Thanks. Its the self adjuster on the hand brake handle I need I go on. just read on another forum something about a self adjuster spring and to put a pin in it whilst doing the rear end
