Well i did it last night,and was really surprised how well the hippo did,the trailer felt nice and solid behind me i had good visability of the trailer from my mirrors,and even with a hill to get up to the yard it was fine im really surprised how much power my TD4 has,it didnt struggle at all...

mine did exact same thing,it turned out to be a failing battery (although the battery had a green light on it) got a new bosch battery and its been fine ever since.

I had excactly the same issues with my last hippo X reg 1.8:mad: it nearly put me off them for life infact i nearly wept when hubby said we were to buy another,im sorry you have had been sold a crapper,maybe trade it in for a TD4 and cut your losses,we had to it hurt alot to make a huge loss...
