The only reason the 3dr shouldn't go through a car wash is for the soft-top. Hardtop will go through but will get scored.

Rotary car washes are bad for any paintwork, giant swirl marks.

Re: doors falling off, that goes way back to when a FL owner was washing their FL, after the wash they reversed back with the door open, a post took door straight off.

Get a soft brush on a telescopic pole and stand up on the back tyre to wash the roof with a sponge

Whatever you do then try and stay in the car when the car wash starts up or you may end up like this.
This person opened the door and got out but then realised that he couldn't shut the door as the wash was moving too fast and it nearly took his door off.
