well how rude :D s3 failed on the following; nearside front shock leaking - have to get some new parking brake below efficiency - works for me but is high, guess it needs adjusting hopefully that's all emissions - surprised it passed last year, wish I had got off my rear and changed the timing...

have this smiths heater in the s1 but it has no demisting vents. never been an issue as it only tends to get used in summer. however my daughter wants it as her daily drive to college assuming she passes etc. have thought up ways of adding holes for hoses but I doubt the airflow it generates...

for small showers I don't bother to cover up the s1 or 3 if they are topless. however, this unfortunately means water gets into the under seat storage. I am sure I am not the only one to face this issue, do people drill a drain hole or try and cover them so water doesn't get in.

had been letting the s1 tank run down as its only moving around on the drive at the mo. still around an inch of fuel in the tank but it seems the level is now at the bottom of the tube for the fuel pipe. stuck some petrol in via a can but no fire. I can hear the pump clicking away continually...

got the s1 out of the garage this morning where it had been hiding for the winter. went in sometime in November iirc, bit of choke and she burst into life. the joy of having no background electrics, nearly 4 months and the battery was still more than strong enough for a start.
