2007 Puma: Repeated fuel leaks: Hoses failing

Vehicle all fixed. We ordered and fitted this silicone braided tubing (not specifically this width or length - i don't know the specs needed offhand). Blue Silicone Hose Fuel & Oil 1 Metre 51mm Bore | eBay Hopefully it will last longer than the genuine part. My landlord has a 60 plate and his...

2007 Puma: Repeated fuel leaks: Hoses failing

No, i did wonder if that was it.... It's usually Tesco diesel, very, very occasionally Morrisons or Shell V-Power if i am feeling flush..... Certainly nothing exotic, or particularly great or poor quality

2007 Puma: Repeated fuel leaks: Hoses failing

Nope! But the mechanic has already considered mice, but ruled them out (he's seen it a number of times on farm vehicles)

2007 Puma: Repeated fuel leaks: Hoses failing

I've done a search for this and can't find anyone else reporting this problem which completely surprises me...... I have a 57 plate 90 Puma. I first experienced diesel leaking back at the beginning of last year (2013). It was sorted by my local independent LR mechanic who told me the breather...

Very simple question..... driving me crazy!

Oh its just a simple bulb? I could do that, but i will take it back to guy who stopped it working as he said he will look at it......

Very simple question..... driving me crazy!

Exactly what i thought. Thanks for confirming. It went in to local Landy garage to fix broken wiper linkage. Came back without the clock lighting up (with lights on), but the clock still works. I have removed centre console - it was all wired up but the wire had a huge kink in it like it had...

Very simple question..... driving me crazy!

I have a 2007 Defender (Puma) Should the dash clock light up??? I seem to recall it did, but i wonder if my mind is playing tricks on me! Can a fellow owner confirm/deny this for me. Ta.

    Wiper linkage 'clicking'

Tried to fix today. Before i started it was clear the problem is worse than it was last night. The wipers pretty much have stopped working now. Sounds about right - It is either the spindle or the link to the spindle on the drivers side. You can grab the unmoving driver wiper and yank it, and...

Help needed..... Vehicle: 2007 Defender 2.4 Leaving work today it was raining so turned on my wipers, first off they seized/stopped mid stroke. Not having moved yet i got out and manually moved them to get them moving on their own again (this is not the first time this has happened). After that...

    New to Defender

Change those sh*t Grabber TR tyres first chance you get - bl00dy awful. until you chang'em you'll never know what the vehicle really handles like. Wish i'd changed mine rather than waiting 30k miles to realise how crap they are.

    which tyres ?

Discovery STs .... been running them since November, fantastic and good pricing too the LR standard Grabber TRs have ensured i will never ever buy General tyres ever again. Insa's, cant speak for, but arent most of their range 'remoulds'?? BFGs i have been told dont come near STs in grip...

    cheap insurance for defenders

i'm with Adrian Flux still after a few years, BUT did have to shop around this year to force them to lower their initial quote. Personally, i am 100% sure that insurance is all a racket and the companies involved are all a bunch of cnuts. I mean how else can it be that so many companies...

    Gearbox noise? A concern?

Well, started vehicle this morning, and noise wasn't there. So drove the 30miles to work, parking up with engine idling, sure enough the knocking is back. Quick call to Land Rover Assistance, AA man shows up in the hour and he whips it off to Roger Young. Diagnosis: Needs new gearbox...

    Gearbox noise? A concern?

Ah, yes in my red rage i forgot to mention the last work done was a replacement of the clutch. Guess its a knock on of that then? Clutch was replaced 1000miles ago or so

    Gearbox noise? A concern?

Hi all, here i am again with another issue with my defender 57 plate... After driving the 30odd miles home today i notice my 'engine' making a clanking noise (not the best description i admit) as i parked up. i then noticed that i could make it dissappear by depressing the clutch. releasing...

Is your Defender your main vehicle?

Was my main vehicle up until a month ago. Driving high mileage to work and back was killing me financially, and piling the miles on the clock.... Got me a Smart Fortwo Brabus as a second vehicle (compared to my 90 it moves time and space :D but i get untold grief about it being Thunderbird 4...
