    tyres (winter)

Replaced remoulds on my D1 last year with Grabber AT2s - it never missed a beat in the snow. Having seen the weakness of the sidewalls on the remoulds I would NEVER buy them. Have just replaced the wife's tyres on her Discovery 3 with the new Grabber AT tyre in readiness. No noticeable...

    Disco 3

We have a 55 plate S which has 7 seats (cloth) - Front 5 are heated! It also has an upgraded stereo, air suspension and we've had it for nearly 4 years. I think they up-spec'd a batch of S models around that time. Still qualifies for old road tax too. In that time we've replaced TREnds, both...

    Loadspace Roller Cover Mount

Being slightly more awake today I noticed that the other side is Black! The other one must have been replaced previously - not my brightest moment! I think I'll order another black one and have a matching pair. Thanks for your help anyhow. Thick Phil.

    Loadspace Roller Cover Mount

Does anyone know where I can get one of these in Beige? Britcar (UK) Ltd > MXC6287LUN LOADSPACE ROLLER RETAINER GREY DISCO (G) It is the little plastic mount into which the roller cover clips in my '98 Disco. I stupidly shoved a fridge into the back without removing the cover and have torn...

Discovery Mk1 Heated Seats Stopped Working

My Heated Seats on my 98 ES 300tdi have just stopped working. I have checked fuse and it is fine. A quick search on here and I've drawn a blank. Is there a relay that could blow or any way to check if the element might have gone? Thanks, Phil.

    Temp gauge and Warming up

Fan on full is equivalent to a small mouse wheezing. My understanding is this is normal.

    Standard Discovery, New tyres

I just bought some General Grabber AT2s from tyresdirect.com based in Luton. They were very well priced and easy to deal with. I went for standard 235/70 R16 as I don't have a lift either. They look the Mutts Nuts IMHO.

12 Multi-Tone Beeps on Removal of Ignition Key

Now that makes sense! I'll check it out in the morning. It would make sense that no-one else has had the issue seeing as I have a non-std face off radio. Cheers.

12 Multi-Tone Beeps on Removal of Ignition Key

My '98 Discovery 300tdi ES Auto Beeps when I remove the ignition key. Not the beep you get when you leave the lights on but 3 batches of 4 beeps in rapid succession. High-Low, High Low (short pause) High-Low, High Low (short pause) High-Low, High Low. All my electrics appear to be working...

Recovery Points with Std Bull Bars

What a speedy reply - tks. Figured it might be the quickest way to remove the bullbars:eek: Happy enough to purchase a decent steering guard with recovery eyes but was wondering how to get one fitted along with the bull bars as I imagine they are supposed to be fitted to the same locations on...

Recovery Points with Std Bull Bars

Couldn't find via a search so could anyone tell me the best type of recovery points to fit when I have a standard soft wraparound bull bars fitted to my 98 Discovery Mk1. Hi Guys, I'm based in Leighton Buzzard and have just purchased a '98 Disco. I would like to start a bit of green laning but need to sort a few things out on the old girl (don;t we all?) What are the absolute "Must Haves" to be able to come out to play with you guys and are you open to...

Are there any Off-Road locations NW of London?

There were a few around Bovingdon and Hemel but I've since sold that Landy and moved to Leighton Buzzard! Fortunately I've just purchased an old Disco so I'm back in the game! I've seen some threads regarding lads based in Dunstable which is not a million miles away from either of us.

    insurance advice

SureTerm were a nightmare when someone drove into the back of my wife in our Defender. It was clearly not her fault and the other side admitted liability. SureTerm made us feel like we were trying to pull a fast one when we simply followed their procedures. Been with Admiral for other cars for...

Just done my rear tailgate using the instructions on here and a spring ordered on eBay. Works a treat. :D Gives you an immense feeling of satisfaction when you manage to remember where all the rods go and it finally works! It should be sold as a puzzle!
