I have tried different relays but same problem, will have to try a new fuse box, could it be a dodgy earth somewhere possibly or pretty much fuse box internals? thanks for help

Thanks, i have changed fusebox, only a second hand one but doing it on both fuse boxes, will try strip it and take a look at weekend

Not sure mate, what happened was had starting issues, someone moved original ecu and arked it out so blew it up, had an omega one laying about so tried it and worked fine, have now got an rr one and thought cpould swap straight back but as said only turning not firing, thanks for replies

Hope someone can help, at present i have i believe an omega td ecu on my p38, i have got hold of a rr td ecu to replace it with, problem is when i put it on the car turns over but wont fire, does it need setting up to rest of car? will rovacom do this? thanks

thanks again Derek, not seen it myself to be honest, just telling someone today how helpfull people have been on here and helped me get mine almost back to normal and he asked me to see if anyone had any ideas on here, as far as i know the motor wont move at all the black box just clicks

not on my range this time thank god, on another p38 the driver side window wont go down, just hear a click coming from black box behind door panel, have tried another one of those also the window switch and also plugged electric motor into another window and works fine, any suggestions please?

thanks, can they be got at without splitting fuse box pcb? also i notice that there is a loud click that seems to be coming from drivers side footwell area when ignition switched to 2, are there any relays etc under there?

ok put an earth to relay from battery an all started lovely, removed earth and still working, turned on and off and starts fine everytime, still obviously a fault somewhere i need to find

update, went out to car today to check the lives on the rl15 relay, put test light on earth of battery and checked each slot with relay pulled out and on one it clicked so put relay back in with enough room to get test light onto said prong of relay and no faults, glow plug light comes on and...

not that, pulled out rl15 of another rangie and put it in mine and no difference plus the other range still had pre warm light etc come on with rl15 removed, time for can of petrol and box matches i think

so is that the black relay in fusebox?would be nice if thats all problem is, would that also control the the glow plugs? as the light doesnt come on dash for pre warm?
